21st October - The shots (kitchen shots) were completed and turned out well, however the fake blood didn't go exactly to plan as it was not as thick as it should've been. Also it was a little dangerous using Alistair's real arm for the knife cutting scene as the knife was a little sharp, so if I were to shoot this scene again I would either use a blunt knife or a prosthetic hand. Also, because of the layout of the kitchen, we had to zoom in on the actor at the counter a little more than I originally wanted so if I were to do it again I would want to shoot it in a larger kitchen. Also when filming the knife 'cutting' into the arm it would've been easier if there was one person using their arm, one person holding the knife and one person filming, but only two students were available that day.

4th November - The visual shot (boy running through woods) was a little difficult to shoot as the camera man had to run at the correct speed behind the actor in order to make it seem like he was being chased. This also meant that the footage was very shaky, however this actually worked to my advantage in editing. If I were to do this again I would want to use a camera rig attached to the camera man's body to make the footage less shaky.

11th November - This shot (crashed car) worked really well especially with the damaged toy care and hand-made road surface. The problems with this shot, however, was when we wanted to tire to roll across the shot because the road surface was slight bent so the tire would roll and come to a stop, although we did eventually get the shot and it looks really good. If I were to shoot this again I would make sure the road surface was not bent in anyway so the tire could roll smoothly.

14th November - This special effect (barn) did not make it into my final trailer because it didn't quite go to plan. The positioning of the barn was fine and it could stand up on its own, but it just didn't look realistic enough. However there were no problems when shooting this footage. If I were to do it again I would make the barn look more realistic or perhaps use a doll house and set it on fire rather than add the fire in when editing.
